(BALTIMORE) – I try to be a decent human being. I try and think happy thoughts. Despite the continuous racial hatred I see in this country, I really do try and focus on the good in people.
However, after witnessing men on horseback whipping Haitian immigrants at the Mexican border, it’s like I just watched “Rosewood” for the very first time.
Central Americans were not whipped. Afghani people were not whipped. Are they going to pull out the slave chains next?
Yet, right there in plain sight for the world to see in the year 2021 – some brutally insensitive people are there whipping refugees of Haitian descent.
To say the least, I am outraged!
I long to see what our Congressional Black Caucus will say. I also want to see what the candidates for Governor of Maryland will say – as well as every other elected official in the land.
This is unacceptable. This is disgusting. This is America.
