New York needs a plan to harness the potential of the wind power industry, which would add thousands of good union jobs and hundreds of millions — potentially billions — to our local economy in the coming years. Furthermore, we can use this plan to invest in low-income communities of color, who have long borne the brunt of climate change, by connecting them with good, green industrial manufacturing jobs in the wind power industry.
There’s no reason why New York City shouldn’t be at the forefront of the renewable energy revolution. We have the resources and the talent — all that’s missing is the leadership to get it done. With forward-thinking and smart planning, the wind power industry can be a tailwind for our new economy as we emerge stronger from COVID-19. So if you’re ready to make New York City a global leader in renewable energy, donate today and help elect our next Mayor, Eric Adams!
Best,
