U.S. Black Chambers, Inc.: Happy Black History Month! Feb. 2021 Chamber Bulletin

The U.S. Black Chambers, Inc. celebrates Black History Month virtually this year to keep our community safe during the continued spread of COVID-19. Be sure to register to join us February 24, 2021 for “A profile of Black Excellence from Black Wall Street through the COVID-19 Pandemic”.
Our President, Ron Busby Sr., once said that “For There to Be a Great America, There’s Got to Be a Great Black America”. As the National Voice of Black Businesses, we will continue to provide information, tools and resources from our chambers and the USBC to highlight and amplify upcoming events, opportunities, business success stories, to collaborate and connect with a variety of resources provided by USBC corporate partners.

Business of the Month
HotKut Barber, LLC
Michael Joiner, founder of HotKut Barber LLC was the winner of the 2020 Beauty Supply Pitch Competition, powered by USBC CEDC, The Girl Cave LA Beauty Supply, and UPS. As the competition winner, his products are now featured and sold in The Girl Cave LA store locations and eCommerce platform which has led to an increase in sales and fruitful business opportunities.
Based in Lithonia, GA, HotKut Barber is a natural grooming line catered to men made by barbers supplying beard and skin care essentials. With community at it’s core, HotKut Barber is comprised of lifetime barber professionals with the desire to improve self worth and image of black men and women and to inspire today’s youth. When asked about his core values and accomplishments, Joiner believes that “being a black entrepreneur means giving a new perception to the culture. Giving the youth another example of future self. I believe it gives way to offer possibilities in the community to create success and distribute wealth.”
Joiner has worked hard to master his craft and completed cosmetology school at age 16. After years of trial and error he developed his skill by sticking close to his mentors and learning the tricks of the trade. While doing so, he was able to learn from their failures and generate a system of his own; which is known today as HotKut Barber.
