(OAKLAND) – Host Doug Blacksher will be joined each week by Everett Butler on Black Business Roundtable on BlackUSA.News, Thursdays 7pm EST/4 pm PST (Facebook & YouTube).

Butler is a very conscientious businessman and engineer who is also a new director of youth outreach. Butler, of Mountain House, CA, has recently been named as Director of Community Youth Outreach programs within Magnolia’s Construction and Engineering, Oakland, CA.  As Director, his responsibilities include outfitting community programs for underrepresented and underserved minority youth (ages ranging from 8 to 18 years old) with the tools to succeed toward their path to an engineering/STEM education.

Butler attended both Madison Junior High and Castlemont High School in Oakland,CA.  He then attended the University of the Pacific (UOP) where he acquired his B.S.E.E degree in Management/Electrical Engineering.  Everett’s 34-plus year career within the Department of Defense (DoD) has afforded him experience within agencies such as the Department of the Navy, Air Force and Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA).

He has attained specialized experience as an Aerospace Engineer, Electrical Engineer and Industrial Engineer.  In December 2019, Everett retired from Lockheed Martin, Inc., Sunnyvale, CA.  Everett is thrilled to have been given the opportunity to take on the new role as Community Youth Outreach Director supporting Oakland’s Unified School District (OUSD) from within Magnolia Construction and Engineering.
